It’s almost time for us all to go to Hell and get stuck into Diablo IV, but if you just can’t wait to fight demonic hordes there’s another open beta weekend coming in May. The Server Slam weekend starts on May 12 and won’t include any of your progress from previous betas, but if you haven’t had a chance to try the game yet this is a great opportunity to do so.

“Attention heroes of Sanctuary! In preparation for the launch on June 6, 2023, we will be opening the gates of Hell one more time for everyone to play Diablo IV and test our server infrastructure for what we are calling a Server Slam weekend. From May 12, 8 p.m.–May 14, 8 p.m. BST, everyone can come to Sanctuary’s defence on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4—along with couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms—against the armies of the Burning Hells to help us test the durability of our servers. The version of Diablo IV available during Server Slam will be similar to our previous Open Beta weekends, however it will include all bug fixes and updates detailed in our Open Beta Retrospective blog. There are also some new rewards players can earn if they participate!”

If you need to chill the heck out today, then you should check out this LoFi Super Mario 64 album. Equal parts relaxing and nostalgic, this lovely set of songs can be found on streaming services, as well as being available to preorder on CD and cassette here.

“Music Label Curaga Records has just announced that they’re jumping into the world of Nintendo’s very own Mario with a brand new LoFi album, Video Game LoFi: Super Mario 64. From artists 88bit and Save Point, Video Game LoFi: Super Mario 64 is a nostalgic tribute to Koji Kondo’s beloved soundtrack. With gorgeous piano arrangements, warm analog synths and colorful re-harmonization, the album features 11 tracks that fuse cozy beats and reimagined melodies with jazzy LoFi undertones.

“This was a truly collaborative effort,” says artist 88bit, “I’m so glad Save Point approached me about making this with him. This album gave me an opportunity to take the Super Mario 64 songs and reshape and present them in a new light – chill lo-fi.”

88 bit goes on to say how the album has given the songs a unique transformation while staying true to the original. “I’m excited for many of my friends in the VGM community to listen to these tracks. And I’m hopeful that these songs will find their way to people all over, and that those who love the music from Super Mario 64 (and even those who may not be familiar) will enjoy these recordings as much as we’ve enjoyed making them.”

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin doesn’t have the same level of character customisation, or build diversity, as the main games. But that doesn’t mean you have to run around in ugly armour. You can find and equip layered armor to change your appearance to something much prettier. In this guide we’ll show you how to use layered armor in Monster Hunter Stories 2.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to get Layered Armor

Monster Hunter Stories 2 | How to use Layered Armor

There are several ways to acquire layered armour sets. First, you can get hold of a free set by having a Monster Hunter Rise save on your Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to PC players. But gamers on either platform can grab the beach-themed layered set from the Melynx in town in exchange for 8 bottle caps. You can also buy alternate outfits for both Ena and Navirou here.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 | How to use Layered Armor

When you reach the city of Lulucion, the blacksmith will direct you to his cousin, where you can buy a layered version of any armour set you’ve already crafted for the low price of 700z each. You’ll still need to farm the parts or bottle caps to get the initial set though.

How to equip Layered Armor

Simply head to your house in any settlement and go to your item chest. Select Appearance Settings, and you can equip layered armour in the same way you pick a hairstyle. You can even switch the two main colours around on it.

Now you know how to equip layered armour sets in Monster Hunter Stories 2. No more ugly armour ruining your style.

The post Puzzle Quest 3 is coming this year appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

The puzzle RPG hybrid is back, as 505 games have announced Puzzle Quest 3 is coming this year. It’s been over a decade since the last Puzzle Quest game, so fortunately we don’t have to wait much longer for another.

“Global video game publisher 505 Games announced today Puzzle Quest 3 (PQ3), an all-new installment to the ground-breaking and highly successful puzzle-RPG franchise. This will be the first official release under 505 Games, following the recent acquisition of Infinity Plus Two, the Australian game development studio and creators of the critically acclaimed Puzzle Quest series, which has generated over $200 million in revenue and amassed an estimated 32 million users globally under the franchise. The team is on track to deliver PQ3 as a multiplatform free-to-play (F2P) title launching later this year.

“After an overwhelming demand from fans over the past decade for the next installment of Puzzle Quest, we’re thrilled to finally reveal the development of Puzzle Quest 3,” said Steve Fawkner, CEO and Creative Lead at Infinity Plus Two. “The vision for this latest project has been years in the making, and like any good Puzzle Quest game, it’s a delicate balance of gameplay, story, and strategic puzzle-solving while introducing something unexpected that will appeal to both old and new fans. We can’t wait to share PQ3.”

Puzzle Quest 3 returns to its origins, recalling the deep RPG mechanics and signature heroic storylines that made the original a standout hit within the Match-3 category. Now featuring a twist on traditional puzzle gameplay, PQ3 offers an intense 1-versus-1 battle system realized in a 3D game world. Taking place 500 years after the original Puzzle Quest, players will embark on a heroic journey across Etheria to discover the meaning behind the ancient Red Dragon’s dying words.

“Puzzle Quest defined the puzzle-RPG genre, creating a beloved franchise with a rich heritage that continues to resonate with a player base of millions globally today. The work that Steve [Fawkner] and his team have done to reintroduce the franchise as a F2P experience across multiple platforms will undoubtedly reinvent the puzzle genre once again. As a unified publishing and dev team, we’ve created a path for the franchise that puts the player first so we can best serve our growing community,” said Clive Robert, Head of Free-to-Play at 505 Games.

Puzzle Quest 3 features an all-new adventure to become the ultimate hero, battling and building a legacy in thrilling head-to-head combat. The game includes an immersive battle system where players unleash torturous spells and paralyzing attacks through the power of gem-crushing in an enhanced turn-based system. Puzzle Quest 3 once again pushes the genre limits by introducing new and imaginative gameplay mechanics. The game will be available to fans worldwide, across a wide variety of mobile devices and PC later this year, with additional platforms to be announced.”

There isn’t a match 3 game in existence I’ve played more than Puzzle Quest, so I really hope this new free to play game lives up to the original. After pumping so many hours into Grindstone, I need a new puzzle game to sink my teeth into.

The post Hellpoint coming to Switch on February 25 appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

Almost everyone wants to play the latest games on Nintendo’s handheld console, so RPG fans will be happy to hear about Hellpoint coming to Switch on February 25th. The acclaimed Sci-Fi soulslike originally released last year, and is also being updated for next gen consoles.

Publisher tinyBuild, in cooperation with Merge Games, is happy to confirm that Hellpoint, the dark Sci-Fi Action RPG from developer Cradle Games will be released digitally for Nintendo Switch on February 25 followed by a physical release on February 26th. Both versions will feature all post-release features and improvements and will retail for $34.99 / €34.99 / £29.99. In addition, a physical collector’s edition for Nintendo Switch is available for pre-order from Signature Edition Games.

Previously, Cradle Games announced that Hellpoint would be coming to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 later in 2021, bringing higher resolutions and additional graphical features from the PC version to the new consoles. A next-gen backwards compatibility patch was released in December 2020, adding an optional 60 FPS mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The PS4 retail version will also go on sale on February 26″

Hellpoint features

“- Souls-like gameplay in a unique setting: Explore the derelict space station of Irid Novo and face bizarre enemies with a tight and unforgiving combat system.

– Occult space story: Blending science and fantasy, the intensely atmospheric dark sci-fi setting will keep you searching for answers.

– Dynamic World: The Quantic System acts as a dungeon master, slightly transforming the game world every time you die and triggering events as the station revolves around the black hole.

– Jump-in co-op and PvP multiplayer: Hellpoint offers a full, uninterrupted online co-op story experience with shared loot drops.“

Although not a huge soulslike fan (yet) I really do like Hellpoints’ science fiction setting and am tempted to try it on my favourite console. February is quickly becoming a stacked month of video games, so I really hope that Hellpoint is able to stand out in this crowded month of gaming.

The stream showed footage that revealed a spoiler-free look at the light world and dark world in the first four chapters of the game. The stream also went into detail about how New Game Plus works, as well as some other new features.

The Meat Boy Saga promises to be moved forward with this much anticipated sequel. Meat Boy and his partner Bandage Girl have had a baby called Nugget, who has been kidnapped by the sinister stillborn psychopath, Dr. Fetus. Meat Boy and Bandage Girl along with some new friends in the Meat Boy Cinematic Universe set out to rescue the kidnapped child.

There are some changes for Meat Boy, he has been pumping iron in the gym and now has a Battletoads-esque right fist, as well as a new slide and plummet manoeuvre.

“Much has happened in the decade since Super Meat Boy launched on Xbox Live Arcade,” said Team Meat co-founder and Creative Director Tommy Refenes. “A new generation of consoles came and nearly went, some folks made a movie about the development of Super Meat Boy, 2020 happened and the less said about that the better. And we’re proud that Meat Boy remains as beefy and bloody as ever!”

Levels are randomly generated in Super Meat Boy Forever, and each time the game is complete the option to replay the game will appear and generate a whole new experience by presenting different levels with their own unique secret locations. You can play Super Meat Boy Forever from start to finish several times before ever seeing a duplicate level, as each one is handcrafted.

Super Meat Boy Forever will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC. There is no official date as yet, but the developers promise it won’t be another ten years!

The post Super Mario Gift Guide appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

I can’t remember a time when Mario wasn’t popular. Ever since the heady days of the NES (and before, if you’re old enough to remember the era of classic coin-op arcades), he’s been a household name – well, at least in my households. I love him, my siblings love him, and now my kids love him too. With the recent release of Mario 35 (an almost battle royale-like, Mario Bros-flavoured take on the Tetris 99 formula) and Super Mario 3D All-Stars, he’s just as present as he ever was, along with his brother Luigi, love interest Peach and the ever-loyal Toad and Yoshi.

As we move towards the Christmas period, our kids (and partners, let’s be honest) are thinking about writing those ever-growing wishlists, and it just so happens that we have a perfect, Mario-themed gift guide to help you out thanks to online retailer Lost Universe. The following few items would make great stocking fillers for kids and adults alike.

1. Nintendo Super Mario Backpack

Nintendo MArio Sublimation Backpack

To be perfectly honest, in my house something like this is considered a dad purchase, not a kid purchase, but it’s ideal for either. Big enough for school supplies, lunch, daycare stuff if you’re out and about with a young child, or even carrying your Nintendo Switch. It comes in a variety of sizes, and while I’d have preferred a more considered pattern placement, it’s still pretty cool. The average retail price is around £25, which is not bad for a branded backpack – and it can be picked up at most retailers online.

2. Nintendo Super Mario Scene Coin Collector

Mario Moneybox

It’s not easy to get kids (or gamers) to save their money at the best of times, especially around Christmas and when a lot of people are still working from home and surrounded by temptation. This cute little Mario moneybox is a great way to look after your pennies, the layered 3D images on the inside capturing the colour and charm of Mario’s world. It’s an official Nintendo product too, so build quality isn’t an issue – and it’s made from environmentally friendly BDP (that’s “breakdown plastic”, which will decompose in a landfill). For around £15, it’s pretty, useful, and won’t look out of place among your gaming collection.

3. Super Mario Mushroom Desk Light

Almost everything in the Mario universe is iconic in some way, but few things are on quite the same level as the mushrooms. Able to imbue the characters with some pretty useful powers as well as being, well, part of the team (seriously, how many times do you think someone has accidentally bitten Toad’s head?). This cool little desk light doesn’t take up too much room, and makes a power-up noise when you turn it on. Doubles pretty well as a night-light too, if you have young kids. You can usually pick one up for between £10 and £15 online.

So there you go, a few handy little items to fill your family’s stockings this Christmas.

Samples provided by Lost Universe.

The post Why Baldur’s Gate III could raise the bar for CRPGs | Early Access Impressions appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

Baldur’s Gate is one of those watercooler games that every RPG fan over a certain age has a memory of. Harking back to a time when BioWare were a new studio, and the heady days of KOTOR and Mass Effect were still ahead of them and Anthem was but a vague curse yet to manifest, Baldur’s Gate is a game credited with making the isometric RPG sexy, or at least not utterly repellent to the object of its desire, which is more than many of us can hope to aspire to.

Having seen a recent re-release on Nintendo Switch, Baldur’s Gate 1 & 2 and the follow-up Icewind Dale, proved two things: firstly, that there is still demand for the universe and format; and secondly, that it really, really needed modernising. Ironically, the new threequel comes not from BioWare (who, let’s face it, need to do some serious damage control if they’re ever to get themselves on anyone’s guest-list again) but from Larian Studios, an outfit that has been indirectly remaking Baldur’s Gate for a couple of decades.

The reasons why this is the best thing that could have happened to this franchise are too numerous to count, but I’ll summarise simply by saying that Larian Studios knows its shit when it comes to CRPGs. The collective behind the ridiculously good Divinity series, it has proven itself more than worthy of shouldering BioWare’s legacy and carrying it into a new generation.

Baldurs Gate 3 Early Access Impressions

I’ve had the pleasure of playing through a pre-alpha build of the first act of Baldur’s Gate III, and I’m happy to report that, despite some teething issues and a host of complications that will slowly be ironed out during its early access journey, it’s shaping up to be an incredible experience.

Obviously, it’s far too early to review it properly or even really compare it the latest and greatest in the genre (Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and Wasteland 3 are both incredibly good, and comfortably stand beside Divinity: Original Sin II), but my initial impressions have left me somewhat giddy.

Based in the Forgotten Realms universe and setting its stock upon the 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons Ruleset, Baldur’s Gate III’s early access incarnation has the hallmarks of a thrilling cinematic adventure. As with Divinity II, you can opt to pick from one of five pre-made protagonists or create your own, and have the other five become your party members as you progress. In early access the pre-made characters aren’t available to choose, though you can still meet and recruit them as you work through the campaign.

It begins with an extensive character creation suite, as you choose from a multitude of races, sub-races, classes and specialities, as well as picking an origin story for your custom character. As usual I spent roughly the same amount of time in the character creator as I did in the actual game – but it’s just so much fun. As with many other RPGs, all of these choices matter, from your background to your choice of race. While there’s no magical “correct” combination, NPCs will react differently to you throughout the game dependant on your character’s personality and history.

From here you’re thrown into the story headfirst, as your character awakens imprisoned on a Mindflayer’s sentient ship, with a mind-altering “tadpole” in your brain that will eventually turn you into a Mindflayer yourself. One thing leads to another and the ship crashes, at which point you and the assorted survivors band together to find a cure. It’s worth pointing out here that I missed a recruitable party member in my first playthrough because I didn’t explore thoroughly enough, and later one of the others was killed in a fight before I could even speak to them. Now it could be that both of these things will be different in the full release, but as Larian has promised more party members as we move through the early access period, perhaps not.

Either way, the character themselves are excellent (I’ve fallen in love with Shadowheart, the Half-Elf Dark Cleric), although as yet you can’t respec your party to suit your needs as you can in the similarly built Divinity II. Every character you meet and speak to is fully voiced and motion captured, and the difference this makes to the cutscenes is staggering. While most conversations are static (though there a lot of cinematic cutscenes, a lot of which are placeholder at the moment), the character’s expressions and deliveries are superb. Even with so much unfinished, nothing here feels half-arsed. Larian are pouring everything they have into this and it shows already.

Baldurs Gate 3 Early Access Impressions

The early access version launches with the first act, which Larian assure us is around 25 hours of play, although it can be experienced in multiple ways with different races, classes, backgrounds and, importantly decisions. Baldur’s Gate III is a decision-heavy game, compounded by the fact that the consequences of your decisions aren’t guaranteed to go the way you want them to. Almost every decision you make has a stat check, whereby a single D20 will determine success or failure, modified by your character’s proficiency in certain skills or knowledge in certain areas.

It’s hard to predict just how deeply this will affect the game, but on multiple occasions I closed off entire quest paths due to a decision made or a fluffed roll, and usually there are no do-overs unless you’re not adverse to save-scumming. And here’s a truth-bomb for you: some of you won’t be able to resist the urge to save-scum when Baldur’s Gate III decides to stick the emotional knife in. When an innocent child is killed because you missed a Persuasion Check, it’s hard to ignore the offer of a mulligan. Because it’s not a game that holds back. It’s mature from the get-go, mixing in body horror, violent deaths, and a smattering of swears like a half-filtered Game of Thrones episode.

Your party members have their own moral alignments and self-justifications, too, and they’ll agree or disagree with your decisions, which can have powerful consequences down the line. They often conflict with one another, which can put you in an awkward position when you want to please everyone. As mentioned, Shadowheart is equal parts adorable and formidable, but all the party members have their time in the sun, and honestly I like all of them so far.

Baldurs Gate 3 Early Access Impressions

Combat is so far mostly par for the course, lifting an awful lot from Divinity II. It’s turn-based, and uses an action point system and percentage-to-hit like a tactics game. At the moment it feels a little stingy, as you only ever have enough points to move and perform one action, while things like reviving downed teammates uses up all your points in one go and can lead to a frustrating loop of reviving a character only to see them immediately struck down again. It’s a difficult game, and it seems like luck is almost always against you. There will be other difficulties introduced later, but in the build I played I could only use the Classic difficulty and it kicked my arse a lot.

The sheer variety of skills and spells and actions, coupled with what is shaping up to be massive build diversity is really promising. From racial skills and class abilities, to scrolls, consumables and talents, your party can synergise in some truly exciting ways, mixing stealth with explosive magic, raw strength with environmental hazards. As in Divinity II, flames can be applied to your weapons from the environment, while a seemingly unprecedented level of verticality affords tactical advantages to those able to take and hold the high ground.

Outside of combat you’ll explore a huge world filled with dangers, treasures, enemies and NPCs. While you can zoom right out for the classic isometric viewpoint, you can also get close up so it plays almost like a third person action game. A handy jump move will carry you across gaps, and hitting “C” will drop you into a stealthy crouch to avoid enemies or get the drop on them. Setting up camp in the wilds replenishes health and cures most ill statuses, and gives you a chance to chat to your companions a la Dragon Age. And yes, romance is on the cards in certain situations.

Baldurs Gate 3 Early Access Impressions

Playing Baldur’s Gate III in its “pre-early access” state has had me giddy as a schoolboy, I’m not going to lie, yet in its current condition I’d hesitate to fully recommend it. There’s likely to be a long period of development on the following acts, which will add new storylines, areas, enemies, and party members, as well as untold quality of life improvements, so unless you’re absolutely chomping at the bit to play it, I’d say wait a little while at least.

That said, if you can handle some jank in the tank and don’t mind regular patches – or better yet, you want to give active feedback to Larian to help improve the overall experience, there’s still a lot of content here – more than you’ll get in many full releases. Be aware though, there is some horrendous texture pop-in, sometimes NPCs don’t move their mouths when they speak (which is a shame, as the lip-synching and motion capture is of an unprecedented quality for this genre), and there are bugs and glitches all over the place. If you’re willing to head in knowing this, then you’ll still have a great time, but some may want to wait for the finished product, however long that may be.

It might sound hyperbolic, but Baldur’s Gate III has the potential to raise the bar once set by its progenitor. This is a work in progress, but even in its adolescent state it’s showing glimmers of true greatness. That there is a massive amount of work to do is obvious, and something Larian is very much aware of, but it’s in the best possible hands. It’s far too early to use the word “masterpiece” in earnest, but this is a game that should be on everyone’s radar through 2021.

Browsing through any of the leading online casino sites these days, we’re often spoilt for choice at the sheer volume of games available. Along with multiple variants and ways to play popular card games like poker or blackjack, there are quite literally thousands of different online slots available.

With so many casino games around, it’s mind-boggling to think that out there somewhere, software developers and creative teams are working hard to produce such a vast array of options, all for our gaming entertainment. Developing software and games for online casinos is big business, and since as early as the mid-1990’s, some companies have built strong reputations on the quality and quantity of games they produce.

When it comes to judging which are the best casino software sites, reputation is everything. Games must not only be exciting and appealing to players, they also need to be safe and fair. That’s why the reviews here on BestCasinoSites.net are extremely useful, providing detailed information about all the main software developers, what kind of games they produce, and where they can be found.

Based on the information provided by that review site, which also provides thorough and complete backgrounds on each company, these are the three best rated and most highly regarded software providers, currently developing cutting edge games and applications for the leading online casinos.

Microgaming

Founded in 1994, Microgaming is one of the oldest and arguably most famous online casino software developers in the world. From their headquarters in the Isle of Man, nestled in the Irish Sea between England and Ireland, this company has been producing some of the most popular games for more than a quarter of a century now.

Synonymous with breaking new boundaries within the gambling industry, Microgaming were the company behind the very first true online casino software, launched in 1994 when the company began its journey in gaming. They also launched the first successfully tested mobile casino software, ten years later in 2004.

Along with developing numerous live versions of traditional table games like roulette, blackjack, and numerous variations of poker, Microgaming are perhaps most famous for their online slots. With more than 600 slots released over the last two decades, movie and TV shows have proven popular themes, especially their slots games based on Game of Thrones or Jurassic World.

That said, the single most famous slot game anywhere is also produced by Microgaming. Since it was released, the Mega Moolah progressive slot game has featured at hundreds of online casinos, what’s more, this game has paid out phenomenal jackpot prizes. The biggest single world record prize of almost €19 million was won in September 2018, while another lucky winner dropped a jackpot worth more than €14 million in August 2020.

Playtech

Currently considered to be the most popular casino software provider in the online gaming industry, Playtech have earned themselves a strong reputation thanks to consistent and continual innovation. Their key reason for impressive growth over the last twenty years is their vast range of products, plus the capability to provide both online and land-based casinos with a full spectrum packaging to cover all their gaming needs.

Along with offering more than 700 slot games, Playtech have always excelled at offering every kind of classic casino game, from poker to blackjack in every imaginable format and including live dealers, to being the power behind many of the most popular bingo gaming sites. They’re also a major player in making many of our favourite sports betting sites tick, providing the software and functionality on which they thrive.

While it’s fair to say we often don’t appreciate much of their software, which is the driving force behind many online gambling operations, we’re undoubtedly familiar with some of their most famous slot games. These include The Matrix online slot, based on the hugely popular movie franchise, which is actually due for a Hollywood reboot soon.

NetEnt

Although they might not boast the size of Microgaming or Playtech yet, NetEnt aren’t far behind and as a global business, they’ve already surpassed a worth of more than €1 billion worldwide. While they are deeply rooted in traditional casino gaming, this award-winning developer has made huge strides in recent years with their software innovations.

Branching out into multiple platforms and iGaming genres, NetEnt has most recently gained recognition for embracing the online lotto gaming scene, developing innovative software that allows online casino sites a vast array of lottery themed gaming options. Indeed, they have thousands of lotto games running every minute of every day, everywhere around the world.

Responsible for developing and building some of the most successful tournament poker software, live casino gaming has been a key area of growth for NetEnt, along with their impressive selection of slot games. Amongst the most popular of late are branded slots with a musical twist, featuring legendary names like Jimi Hendrix, Guns N’ Roses, and even the Prince of Darkness himself, having released Ozzy Osbourne Video Slots recently.

Best of the Rest

Keep an eye out for smaller developers like Yggdrasil from Scandinavia, who are making some beautiful mobile casino games, or Pragmatic Play with their excellent quality slot and card games. Both are relatively new to the scene, founded in the last several years, although they are also fully licensed and quickly earning superb reputations within the iGaming industry.

There are hundreds more great online casino software developers out there, all working hard to make their mark, demonstrating impressive creativity and innovation, aimed at bringing us the very best gaming entertainment. That’s why it’s always worth doing a little bit of research before choosing which sites to deposit your cash, as they can all offer something that’s just a little bit more different and suitable for your own particular gaming preferences.

There’s always something new to do when your living your best cowboy life, and this week Legendary Moose arrive in Red Dead Online. The multiplayer partner to Red Dead Redemption 2 will reward you with some serious value if you’re able to track one of these impressive beasts.

“Legendary Moose, massive and looming, have been spotted ambling around the wilds of the frontier. Moose are very shy creatures that run if startled and are surprisingly nimble for their size.

The Snowflake Moose blends into its snowy surroundings off Barrow Lagoon. Keep an eye out for its massive black antlers contrasted against the snow. This particular creature prefers to graze on rainy nights, so dress in your warmest leathers before leading an expedition.

The Knight Moose, meanwhile, is most known for its pitch-dark coat and has been rumored to frequent the northern section of the Kamassa River bed during the day. Approach quietly and keep a steady hand to sedate or skin the beast.

Sedating and sampling any Legendary moose will land you an Offer for 30% off a Weapon of your choice.”

The idea of killing a moose greatly upsets me, so I’d definitely advise sedating to keep our antlered friends happy. The hunting element of Red Dead Online goes from strength to strength with each update, and I’m consistently tempted to join in and channel my inner hunter.

The library of games on Apple Arcade is continuing to grow and today award-winning Brazilian developer, Aquiris Games Studio has announced that Wonderbox will be launching soon on the platform.

In Wonderbox players will set off on an action-adventure journey that will introduce them to an ever-expanding platform for players to make and share their own adventures with friends and family. Players will traverse beautiful screen-sized dioramas of individually crafted spaces. Their path will be full of challenges, enemies, puzzles and platforms. Each box is different, in some they will need coins to buy a sword to beat a goblin that has a key to open the door to their escape. In others there might be treasure hidden under a tree. The challenges, like the boxes, are limitless.

Wonderbox will feature a Creative Mode, where players have all the tools they need to build their own adventures. Each tool comes with its own set of behaviours and will allow players to easily create game content using the same tools that the developers have.

Looking at screenshots of the game it bears a striking resemblance to the likes of Portal Knights with elements of Minecraft building.

There is no official release date as yet for Wonderbox on Apple Arcade, but it is expected to be available within the next few weeks.

2K made the announcement today, and in the video below you can see all the options available. It looks to feature hundreds of customisation options from Clubhouses to the type of vegetation surrounding your courses. There’s even vehicles, buildings and various animals. Fancy surrounding your final hole with some alligators? Well that looks perfectly possible if the video is anything to go on.

The announcement also made it clear that upon designing the course of your dreams you can then upload and share it with the entire community across all platforms. Sadly, Switch players will have to wait a little while as the PGA Tour 2K21 Course Designer won’t be available from launch.

Updates are available on the official site.

If you have been missing football then Salt Castle Studios has your back! The studio has announced Alpaca Ball for Nintendo Switch and Steam, launching later this year.

Yes, that is right, you can play football with alpacas in what looks like a mad physics-based multiplayer party game.

There looks to be tonnes of customisation options for your alpaca, and the ball is controlled via wild swings of your animals neck!

Alpaca Ball Allstars will feature multiplayer chaos for up to 8 players and a single-player campaign has also been promised with a Career Mode.

“We really like football as a game and wondered how the old established formula could be spiced up? We figured it would be extremely hard to expand the rules of a game that is hundreds of years old and loved by millions,” said Gregor Kirchhofer Produce at Salt Castle Studio. “But then we remembered that Alpacas make everything better, so here we are.”

There is no firm date for release, but the Steam page is live.

Cross Gen purchasing on Xbox with Smart Delivery explained https://www.godisageek.com/2020/06/cross-gen-purchasing-on-xbox-with-smart-delivery-explained/ https://www.godisageek.com/2020/06/cross-gen-purchasing-on-xbox-with-smart-delivery-explained/#respond Mon, 15 Jun 2020 21:05:12 +0000 http://www.godisageek.com/?p=238081 Crossing the generations

The post Cross Gen purchasing on Xbox with Smart Delivery explained appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

One of the worst things going into a new generation of consoles is having to buy a game twice. Microsoft have been vocal about wanting to prevent this if you buy a Series X, and on Xbox Wire today Cross Gen purchasing on Xbox with Smart Delivery was explained.

“One of the most exciting of the technologies we’re introducing with Xbox Series X is Smart Delivery, which will ensure that you always play the best version of the games you own for your console, across generations. This technology is available for all developers, and all Xbox Game Studios titles that are Optimized for Xbox Series X, including Halo Infinite, will support Smart Delivery.

But what does that mean for you, the player? Well, it means that if you purchase the Xbox One version of a supported title, we will deliver the best version of it to your Xbox One, as usual. If you decide to jump into the next generation with Xbox Series X, we will automatically provide the Xbox Series X version of the game at no additional cost when it becomes available. You won’t need to do anything in terms of choosing a version to download. We’ll take care of all of that. And it’s not just limited to games that you purchase digitally; physical discs of Xbox games can also support Smart Delivery if the developer or publisher decides to implement it.”

More details of how Smart Delivery will work is available at the Xbox Wire post here. The fact that you’ll never need to buy an Xbox Studios game twice is great news, and incredibly consumer friendly. Although I don’t expect every publisher to jump on this opportunity, any that do (and that includes CD Project Red with Cyberpunk 2033) will get a lot of respect from me. Microsoft’s consumer friendly approach continues to impress leading into the new generation.

How to choose the most profitable slot in an online casino? https://www.godisageek.com/2020/05/how-to-choose-the-most-profitable-slot-in-an-online-casino/ Tue, 05 May 2020 23:00:26 +0000 http://www.godisageek.com/?p=236565 What are the main characteristics of slot machine?

The post How to choose the most profitable slot in an online casino? appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

Each visitor of an online casino tries to find a slot machine that will be the most profitable and allow him to win more money. Of course, in the wide variety of gambling, gamers most often choose 500+ free slots , which are essentially virtual analogues of classic slot machines, which are often called “one-armed bandits.”

It is this variety of games that boasts a maximum assortment. There are hundreds of slot machines. All of them are very similar to each other, but at the same time they are all very different.

Of course, it’s not so easy for players to figure out all this diversity and find the very slot machine that will suit them and help them win more money.

What are the main characteristics of slot machine?

First of all, you need to pay attention to the slot rating. It is not difficult to guess that all players are drawn to the slots, which most often give out winning combinations of symbols. And therefore, the popularity of these slot machines goes off scale, because everyone wants to win more often and more. And it is precisely such games that always have the highest rating on online casino sites. Moreover, the rating is an inconsistent value.

He is constantly changing. And it is quite possible that some little-known or even unknown gaming machine will suddenly give out big wins several times and attract attention. Moreover pay attention to:

  • amount of reels and paylines
  • special symbols as Wild & Scatter
  • additional Bonus rounds
  • progressive jackpot

A large part of the gaming community will immediately rush into this slot, hoping to grab a piece of the prize for themselves. And the rating of games soars, instantly moving it to the top of the list of the most popular games.

To get acquainted with the list of the most popular games on the site, users simply need to find the appropriate section or block of information. Most often, the most popular games are displayed on the main page of the gambling club website so that players do not have to look for anything.

But among the popular slots, you will also need to make a choice. And here you need to pay attention to several factors and parameters of the game. One of the main ones is the number of paylines and symbols on the reels of the slot.

The more lines and the fewer pictures, the more chances the players have to win. And in order to get more chances to win a winning combination, you need to activate as many paylines as possible in the interface of the gaming machine.

After all, the more there will be, the more likely the appearance of a winning combination. According to the advice of professional players, it is advisable to activate all the paylines.

That is, for example, if there are 9 paylines in the slot machine, then it is advisable to activate all of them, or at least 7 of them. Since if you make fewer lines, then the chances will be small and this will be a waste of money. Although of course, everyone decides how and where to place bets.

How to Set Up Your Dream PC Gaming Lair https://www.godisageek.com/2020/04/how-to-set-up-your-dream-pc-gaming-lair/ Mon, 27 Apr 2020 23:00:42 +0000 http://www.godisageek.com/?p=236559 How to Set Up Your Dream PC Gaming Lair

The post How to Set Up Your Dream PC Gaming Lair appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

Every gamer has a lair. Whether it’s a bedroom or a secret man-cave, a gaming lair is where you enjoy your favorite zombie shooters and RPGs. It has to have all the right features that can really make for the ultimate gaming experience.

But just like any other project, creating a gaming lair takes time and resources, not to mention a great deal of creativity. For that, let’s look at a few important steps for creating the PC gaming lair of your dreams.

  1. Get ideas

Before you get around to creating a gaming lair, you should know exactly how you want it to look like. As is the case with just about anything nowadays, you can find inspiration online. Look at other gamers’ setups and take note of the decor and fixtures that you like the look of. Now, try to imagine your bedroom (or the space you have chosen for the project) having the same appearance. Once you have an initial layout in mind, all you need to do is to make the necessary changes. You only need to make sure you can afford these modifications to your chosen space.

  1. Invest in new gear

If there’s one thing your gaming lair needs, it’s the right hardware. This will take time and a lot of money, but getting the right rig and gaming accessories can be worth your while. That said, you might want to upgrade your PC with the latest graphics card, processor and cooling system. To be sure you’re buying the best, get recommendations from friends or online forums that can give you great ideas for upgrades. Moreover, you will also need a high resolution monitor and surround-sound speakers to make the most out of the experience.

  1. Find the right furniture

Aside from the hardware itself, you may need to upgrade your furniture. When looking for a gaming desk, make sure to pick one that has an ergonomic design. It should come with a slightly drooping keyboard platform, a beverage holder, and a headphone hook. You may also need a gaming chair that provides adequate support for your lower back, a comfortable headrest, and adjustable armrests. It should also allow you to set up recording equipment if you are planning to do a livestream. For HighGroundGaming.com , it’s all about finding a quality chair that eliminates pain. Check out their list of gaming and office chairs to complete your gaming lair.

  1. Install the right lighting

If you want to give your gaming lair some added flair, then you might need to add lamps, bulbs, and other lighting fixtures. While many gamers prefer to play in the dark, there are some who want to decorate the space with low-key lighting. The coolest trend right now is smart lighting which adjusts its color based on the monitor’s output. You can place this type of lighting behind the desk to illuminate the wall in subtle shades based on your game of choice. Aside from this, there are other ways you can add lighting, like purchasing an LED keyboard, mouse, and headset.

With these tips in mind, you can convert any boring space into your own personal battle station! Be sure to experiment with different ideas and be resourceful with decorating your new gaming lair.

To create a video game often requires a large number of talented and trained people working together on various parts of the project, some require teams of several hundred people, but time has shown that it is quite possible to take on all the tasks for one person or several students who can create award-winning rewards amusements.

So who created video games? These talented artists not only have the development skills necessary to create an outstanding video game, but they also often have talents in literature, music, art, directing, and many others. Of course, they are able to create plays that even large development studios could be proud of. So if you ever had a doubt in yourself, read this article on how student made games.

  1. Braid

Braid was one of the first major indie games to come out and show that small groups of people and individual designers can be as good as large development studios without any help. This thought-provoking puzzle was developed by Jonathan Blow and received many positive reviews.

Blow, a computer science student who left university early began developing the Braid game in 2004. He invested a lot of time and finance in its creation, believed in his project, and agreed with Microsoft to publish it on the Xbox Live Arcade in 2008.

The original version of the amusement showed rough drawings and graphics, so Blow secured the support of illustrator David Hellman to bring his ideas to life. It was a great success that remains unforgettable to this day.

  1. ARTé: Mecenas

A&M University of Texas staff and students have developed the ARTé: Mecenas video game on art history.

The game was created to complement the basic course on the history of art, according to the portal Edutainment. Acting on behalf of the Medici family, you can follow the development of the culture of the Renaissance. The plot of the amusement tells how the Italian economy influenced the development of the art at that time. Players must build a system of social and financial ties to participate in the creation of famous works of art and become patrons of the arts. A patron is the highest level that can be achieved in a game.

The project is supervised by the Triseum IT company, whose professional game designers help students finalize the amusement to present it to another university. ARTé: Mecenas is the first in a series of games to complement the curriculum. In November 2015, a British university introduced a project to study biochemistry using the popular Minecraft game for students.

Computer games are used for learning in many schools and universities in the world. They can be not only relaxing but useful and helpful for any subject you need. But it happens that a student plays up and did not have time to do his homework. Then almost the only way out is to seek finance assignment help. There are such services that provide assistance with assignments, which helps gamers a lot.

  1. Cave Story

Cave Story, featuring old-style graphics, catchy chiptune sound, charming characters, and addictive gameplay, successfully captured classic 8-bit platform games, and one guy did it all in his spare time.

This 2004 release is still popular to this day, reprinted for Nintendo Switch only last year, and is often cited as a prime example of what individual independent developers are capable of.

The amusement was made by Daisuke Amaya. He was a college student when he started working on the game and added elements over the years as a favorite project, even working full time as a developer. Amaya later said that he came up with a lot of ideas and a plot game, being inspired by his favorite online amusements, as well as taking heroes like Mario as an example for developing heroes.

  1. Affection Collection

Recently, in Australia, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has developed a special application for cats called “Affection Collection”, which consists of three video games. In one of them, kitties should protect the cheese from hungry mice, in the other, they can play with a ball of thread, and in the third – cook vegetables in a pan.

The main developer of the Affection Collection who received this assignment was Saxon Cameron, a student at Bond University in Australia. According to him, cats really like these amusements and therefore they are much less bored when the owners leave them at home alone.

Conclusion:

So here is the question of how are video games created by students. It is not necessary to have a huge team to develop an interesting and high-quality game. It is enough to be focused on assignment, confident, and inspired students to win the hearts of players. Do what you love, develop and you will surely succeed.

Dota 2 is Back With Massive Viewer Numbers https://www.godisageek.com/2020/04/dota-2-is-back-with-massive-viewer-numbers/ Sat, 25 Apr 2020 23:00:37 +0000 http://www.godisageek.com/?p=236570 Dota 2 is Back

The post Dota 2 is Back With Massive Viewer Numbers appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

For most of the last year, Dota 2’s player number has been slowly dropping. During the last couple of months, however, we’ve seen a pretty substantial rebound in the player count for a variety of reasons, with the number reaching as much as 450,000 average players for the first time in over eight months.

Not only is the coronavirus forcing people to stay indoors, therefore proving to be a massive contributor to more online gaming, the Dota Pro Circuit has also been hitting its stride, and Valve has also made some substantial improvements to its matchmaking. On the back of this massive traffic, DOTA 2 Betting is growing at an insane rate according to the team at Gamopo.com.

The Truth is in the Numbers

In February alone, according to Steam Charts, Dota 2 had its first increase in the number of players since November, hitting an average of 405,978 players, which is an increase of 7.14 percent compared to the previous month. That marks the highest increase in player count the game has reached since February of last year, as well as the highest player count since September 2019.

In March, the average player count increased even more, reaching a total of 437,147, marking an even more substantial gain of 7.68%. The peak concurrent player count has unsurprisingly been growing as well, reaching 663,812 in February and an impressive 743,933 in March of this year.

The numbers have continued to grow steadily, and in the last 30 days, Dota has been able to surpass the magic number of 450,000 average players, taking this number up to 452,520, for a 3.52% increase, and numbers this game hadn’t seen since the summer of last year. On top of this DOTA 2 Players are making insane amounts of money these last few years.

Other Games Also Making Progress

Another piece of evidence that the recent coronavirus pandemic is keeping people inside playing games is the fact that CS:GO has also recently seen a spike in players and thus managed to break 1 million concurrent players for the first time in its illustrious 16-year history, while PUBG also broke a milestone of 500,000 peak players.

In the same vein, the Steam platform itself broke the record for all-time concurrent players, with over 20 million gamers using the platform at the same time on March 16, according to data from its website. That being said, the previous record wasn’t exceptionally long-standing either, as the platform seems to keep outdoing itself pretty often.

The 19-million mark was reached for the first time just over a month before this one, and the number continues to grow with no signs of stopping. The record now stands at 23,528,898 users at the time of writing this post, but the 20-million milestone is still notable, and so is the speed with which it was reached.

As there were no particularly important Steam releases during that period, it’s safe to say that the spike in users has to do with them staying home due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, the spread of the virus is not showing signs of slowing down, so It is reasonable to expect other games to also break player records in the coming weeks with gamers making the most of social distancing.

The Best PlayStation Games for 2020

If ever there was a time to indulge your gaming habit, it’s now. You have the perfect excuse to crank up your PlayStation and lose yourself in a new game for hours on end, and luckily for you, there are some amazing games waiting for you. We’ve spent many a happy hour checking out the latest and greatest PlayStation games, and we’ve curated a list of the games that we consider to be the best PlayStation games for 2020.

Keep in mind that if you’re not persuaded by the games we’re about to highlight, there are plenty more to discover if you’re willing to do a little research – and there are hundreds of casino games to explore if you prefer your gaming endeavours to lead you to the possibility of a real money win. But back to the task at hand; it wasn’t easy to narrow down our PlayStation favourites to a top 4, but somehow, we’ve managed it.

Control

If you’re looking for action and adventure with a paranormal twist, Control is the game for you. You’ll take on the role of Jessie Faden, the newly appoint director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). The FBC is a government agency that has been set up to look out for paranormal activity, with the aim of controlling it. Jessie is about to learn the true horrors that await her, and you’ll experience the spine tingling events that take place in this David Linchesque world as the story unfolds in all its gloriously dark beauty. This game is a slow burner, so get settled in for the long haul and enjoy the surreal atmosphere and cinematic grandeur of this crazy ride.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is everything we’ve come to expect from the Call of Duty franchise, and more. This game has all the game mechanics that have made this series so popular and fun to play, and you’ll find all the usual multiplayer modes and shootout scenarios, but the storyline has been stripped back to basics. You may think that this would make the game feel somewhat unmade, but in reality, the game now feels like its finally manifested into what it was always meant to be.

The sci-fi elements have been replaced with the gritty reality of modern warfare. The weapons closely resemble the weapons being used in war zones today. The storyline is more thought provoking, and the game requires a higher level of strategic play. You’ll be transported to a whole new reality, one that more closely resembles the realities of war as we know it today than any game has done before it – do you have the stomach for it?

Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1 is the other side of the Call of Duty coin. This game offers you a first-person shooter experience in a historical setting. You’ll be taken back in time to World War One where you’ll engage in exciting combat, you’ll get to handle new weapons, and you’ll journey through the levels on cool vehicles. The story line has been extremely well-thought out, and not only will you feel totally engaged and pumped for battle, you might also feel an emotional tug on the heart strings. Facing the harsh reality of WW1 is no small ask, you’ll need to prepare yourself for the brutality of life in the trenches and the chaos of the frontline.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

If you’re after an epic adventure in an historical setting, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the game for you. You’ll discover the beauty and the brutality of Ancient Greece in the role of a mercenary with the Peloponnesian War as the backdrop. The graphics of this game are truly phenomenal. You’ll find yourself exploring this new world in open-mouthed awe. What’s great about this game is that it’s so much more than just another ‘fight your way to the end’ style game. You’ll be swept up in your character’s story while you try to uncover his history and complete his mission. Be prepared to devote a good many hours to this epic journey.

What is an adventure game?

Adventure games, one of the unique genres of computer games, are usually single-player games. An adventure game follows a story. You embark on the adventure by playing as a protagonist, and in one way or another, proceed along with the story. It forces the players to explore and fix puzzle pieces.

Adventure games revolve around the concept of a survival game. Players try their best to survive in hostile conditions such as firing and alien attacks. The player goes on an adventure while trying to save his life. Some of the subgenres of adventure games are:

  • Text adventures and interactive fiction
  • Graphic adventure:
    • Walking simulators
    • Narrative adventure games
    • Puzzle adventure games
    • Escape the room adventure games
    • Point and click adventure games

Here are five mobile adventure games we love and suggest to you:

Pokemon Go

It is our top suggestion as it incorporates real-life adventure. It requires players to go out in their actual living environment to catch pokemon. It requires you to visit several places to achieve the goal of capturing a character. If you want to become an expert, you need to wander in more than one location and battle with other players. The most recent features allow you to track your progress and distance, with the addition of a new adventure sync feature. It is an amalgam of human life adventures along with a computerized world. It is available on both iOS and Android.

Last Pirate: Survival Island Adventure

It is a survival game which puts you in a terrible condition developed by RetroStyle Games. The game starts with your ship sinking, leading you to be stranded on an island. The island is a sea of thieves and is full of mysterious creatures, monsters, and animals. This adventure simulator provides you with a survival kit. You have to protect your crew from people who are still alive. Challenges welcome you one after another. You must act like a fanatic nomad to kill your enemies and defend yourself.

The game has different stages. Once you spend a few days on the island, you are led to more and diverse challenges where you are required to explore the lost island. Find food to survive, discover ways to keep your crew alive, and fight Godzilla. It is available on both iOS and Android.

80 Days

It is an Android-based adventure game. It is not free for players, and you have to pay $5.99 to buy the game. That said, it is one of the best adventure games available online, which makes it worth the money. Anyone playing the game is Passepartout, who is Phileas Fogg’s assistant. The task of the player is to travel around the globe in just 80 days. This game has two challenges: one is to circumnavigate the world, and the second is to race other players. You have to do all of this while protecting the organs and the belongings of your employer. If you lose anything, you lose the game.

Crashlands

Similar to 80 days, Crashlands is not free either. You need to pay $4.99 to buy the game. It was rated as the best adventure game in 2016. With a rating of 4.8 on Google Play, Crashlands is a game played on your mobile as well as your personal computer (PC). The game starts when the player’s craft crashes onto an alien planet. Players are tasked with finding the baggage from the crashed spaceship and build a new one while fighting evil spirits and aliens. Once the spaceship is built, you are allowed to go back if you have killed all evil guys on the planet. If anyone stays alive, it will follow you to your planet, killing everyone on your home planet. Thus, if you are a science geek, then this is the perfect platform to feed this interest.

Grand Mountain Adventure

It is a relatively new game. It comes with two options: play it for free or pay $5.49 to get a premium experience. It is set in a skiing environment. You ski your way while exploring the world around you. It is a time-sensitive game. Every track has a specific time, and you are supposed to complete the track in the specified time to win. A total of five mountains are available in the game. The first mountain is free. The rest are only available in the premium version. This game allows you to perform several skiing tricks in the air. In short, it is a perfect game with gorgeous graphics.

The post How Video Games Have Changed the Way of Students Learning appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

]]>

Video games have created a craze among students since they first appeared on the market. The gaming market has developed a lot since then. Right now, students have access to prettier graphics, richer stories, and amazing features. We’re constantly dubbing into the potential and discovering new things every single day.

Because of the interest, there’s been a great debate regarding whether or not students should be playing video games or not. Research has shown that too much gaming can seriously harm a student’s performance and well-being. But on the other hand, there’s the inevitable fact that controlled and balanced playing of video games comes with a tremendous set of benefits.

Now, we definitely cannot ignore this. By choosing the best video games, students can enjoy plenty of benefits that have changed the education for better. Here are just a few of the many things that have shaped modern education of today.

1.Games are Used as a Learning Tool

Games are entertaining and have the power to stick in the memory for a long, long time. Everything is much easier to master when the process is made enjoyable. Knowing this, many educators have jumped into the opportunity to use video games to help their students learn.

Just think about it. Students can forget a lot they’ve learned in class, but will remember most of their gaming experience. With the right choice of a video game, students can learn more efficiently and more in the long-term sense. For example, the Kanda University of International Studies has employed a course that includes video games that teach a foreign language, and the results are quite impressive.

2.Games are a Great Motivator

When you know that you can get back to an amazing game after you’ve written your paper or finished studying, you get more motivation to learn. Of course, you can always hire the best essay writers on the market if you can no longer focus on the tasks in hand or if things get too hard, but the truth remains – games are an excellent motivator. They can be used as rewards after a job well done, making the entire studying process that much easier. It’s a simple, cost-free reward that all tech-savvy students will really enjoy.

3.Games Boost the Skillset

Even the shyest, biggest introverts in school use video games to socialize with people. Have you wondered why this is the case? Well, games make it possible for everyone to communicate with others. They teach people how to collaborate, solve problems in a team, and even make friends. There are plenty of video games that promote collaboration and allow students to play with other, real-life players. All these are essential life skills that every student should possess.

4.Games Improve Focus and Concentration

The link between boosted concentration and video games is stronger than ever. Did you know that Minecraft, one of the first worldwide popular games has had tremendous success with autistic children? Gaming is private and yet, it nurtures creativity and keeps the brain sharp.

This is an exceptional benefit for students who constantly need a motivational and concentration boost to keep on with their studies and academic burden.

5.Games Help Cope with Failure

Failure is inevitable in life, and for everyone. In video games, this is even more present. When students play video games, they learn the harsh truth and establish their own ways of dealing with failure. And not only that! Students have to learn from their failures to win the game, which is an amazing skill to have in the real world.

6.Games Beat Stress

Stress is a very common issue among students. They have too much to deal with and very often, they need a good outlet to let the steam off. Well, gaming can provide them with relief and help them focus on something else other than their studies, even if it is for a little bit.

Even so, it is crucial that video gaming is limited. At the moment when it starts interfering with the daily obligations and tasks of a student, there are many downsides to playing games.

When you’re too tired of scouring the web for good research paper ideas or studying for exams, a game can be an excellent outlet to get rid of the stress and tension. In fact, based on all the benefits we mentioned above, students can literally make their down time productive and relaxing all at the same time.

]]>

With the COVID-19 outbreak and everyone quarantined in the confines of their homes, the online gaming industry is booming. But that’s not the only reason. There has been a rising trend in mobile gaming over the years, as 50% of users preferred games on their mobiles as opposed to desktops in 2019 as compared to 23% in 2013. Keeping that in mind, our experts drafted up the best mobile games for 2020 that you can play.

Before we get into that, if you’re new to the casino industry, you need to know everything there is about mobile slots.

What are mobile slots and how to play them?

The online casino industry was introduced in the 1990s, but back then, people could only access them on their desktops. It wasn’t until mobile phones were converted into portable devices that casino game developers began optimizing games for smaller screens. With that, the term ‘mobile slots’ was developed. A mobile slot is a video slot game that can be played on a smartphone, tablet or any other portable device.

There are two ways that you can enjoy mobile slots – for free or for real money. Since we’ll be talking about free games in this article, you should know that you don’t need to register or sign up in order to play free slots. Most games offer a mobile free spins bonus before playing for real money. A mobile free spins bonus allows you to spin a specific number of times without having to pay, and at the same time, anything that you win goes into your bankroll.

Best free casino games

Before you decide which casino app to download, you should find out which type of game you want to play. The following is a list of five of the most popular types of casino games under which you can see different apps that offer free games:

1. Slots

Slots are today one of the most popular games in the casino industry. To play, all you have to do is insert a coin (only in land-based casinos) and then spin, pull a handle or press a button, which causes the wheels to spin, and you will be rewarded based on where the wheel ends up.

Currently, Jackpot City is one of the best apps that you can find for mobile slots. It offers a $1600 bonus, a quick payout of 1-2 days, and a win rate of 97.84%. As an alternative, you can also download Spin Casino. Spin Casino offers a $1000 bonus, a payout speed of 1-3 days, and a win rate of 97.59%. There is also the option of Ruby Fortune. While its bonus of $800 is a bit lower than competitors, it makes up for it by offering a quick payout speed of 1-2 days. Its win rate is also 97.49%, which is great for players.

2. Roulette

Playing roulette is a bit more sophisticated than slots. However, it’s not too difficult. The player puts his/her chips on the table in order to gamble them. The table consists of numbers ranging from 0-36, and each player bets on a single number derived by multiple grouping of various numbers. These combinations may be even-odd, red-black, low 18-high 18, low/middle/high 12 and for the first/second/third columns. The dealer spins the wheel clockwise and then rolls a ball counter-clockwise. The ball lands in a numbered slot on the wheel, and all bets that correspond with the number win.

The best online casinos for roulette include Royal Vegas, which offers a bonus of 1200 euros. Its payout speed is 1-2 days, and its win rate is 97.49% – an overall great profile. You can also opt for Ruby Fortune, although its bonus of 750 euros is a bit lower than competitors. The win rate and payout speed are the same as Royal Vegas. The best option by far is still Jackpot City, which offers multiple casino games.

3. Blackjack

This is also one of the simplest casino games you can play; however, it requires an active internet connection. Blackjack is a card game that was introduced a decade back. It is played between the house (also known as the dealer) and the player. The house deals two cards to each player and keeps two cards. One card is face-up, and the other is face down. Each player takes turns and aims to get a number closest to 21. Players call a hit to end their turn. They can double their bet or split cards if they are identical.

Spin Casino is one of the most popular casinos for playing BlackJack. It offers a $1000 bonus and a payout speed of 1-3 days. Its exemplary win rate of 97.59% is what gives it an edge over competitors. The All Slots casino also offers BlackJack, which is a great option because of its high bonus of $1100. Its average payout time is two days, with a win rate of 96.23%. Spin Casino and Ruby Fortune are also popular among BlackJack players. As an alternative, you can check out Europa Casino. It offers a $550 bonus with a payout time of 2 days and a win rate of 96.26%.

4. Poker

Poker is another card game that is based on a five-card hand. These hands are ranked from lowest to highest, and the order of hands is high card, pair, two pair, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush, and royal flush. The rules are fairly simple: the player with the best hand wins. In mobile casinos, “video poker” is a very popular game. The only difference in normal poker and video poker is a slight set of rules. Video poker came out in the 1970s and looks very similar to slots, but in reality, the two could not be more different. Players found it more convenient to play video poker rather than deal cards at a table, which was why it was initially replaced with it. Land-based casinos still offer traditional poker.

Mobile video poker games usually offer lower bonuses as compared to other games. One of the most popular mobile casinos for poker is 888 casino. It offers a bonus of 500 euros with a payout speed of 1-2 days and a win rate of 97.46%. Casino.com is another great option for video poker. It offers the same bonus and payout speed as 888 Casino, with a slightly higher win percentage of 97.56%. Another alternative is Voglia di Vincere, a casino that offers a bonus of up to 1000 euros with a great win rate of 97.84%. You can play slot, roulette, video poker, and blackjack games.

5. Baccarat

Baccarat is a very sophisticated card game that includes two hands of the card that are dealt with by the player and banker. Only the last digits are counted, which add up to the value. For example, a Jack of 5 and 8 is equal to 13, which is counted as 3. Thus, the main focus of the game is to get the score as near as possible to 9. Baccarat generally has a very high win percentage.

The best casinos for playing Baccarat include Betway Casino. Betway Casino offers a $1500 bonus with a payout speed of 1-2 days and a win percentage of 96.32%. Many of the other casinos discussed in this article, including Jackpot City and Spin Casino, offer Baccarat. In fact, most of these casinos are also compatible with different mobile software like iOS, Android, and Windows.

The post Turn to Alternative Software Solutions to Promote Your Online Business appeared first on GodisaGeek.com.

Online retailers have long had to deal with the fact that there aren’t many free or low-cost tools available for them to create content that promotes their brand image. For years, people have had to either shell out cash for large production studios or go without.

Fortunately, however, this is quickly changing. People are finding new ways to generate content that won’t break the bank. That’s certainly good news for anyone who might have felt that their return on investment for online marketing hasn’t been all that great.

Even those who do have to invest some money, however, should see decent returns because social media promotion is relatively inexpensive overall. You might want to start with something simple, like video editing.

Video Production for Online Retailers

When it comes to finding the best video editing software Shopify and Weebly users have a clear choice. There are a number of different programs on the market that they can select. Interestingly enough, though, they might already have some programs on their daily drivers that can do the job.

Consider the fact that PCs come with video editing programs pre-installed in many cases. The same goes for tablets as well as a number of other kinds of computers. This kind of software is normally included as a bonus, and the world’s major operating systems vendors have thrown it in now for years.

On top of this, there are a number of open-source tools online that can run on a wide variety of platforms. While these are of the greatest interest to those who already rely on open-source solutions, there’s no reason you can’t find a simple video editing tool that runs on whatever equipment you’ve already invested in.

You may also wish to take a look at some alternative tools as well.

Alternatives to the Mainstream Solutions

Some developers have taken this idea to the next level and created online web-based packages that give you the freedom to edit videos right in your browser. While these are a bit slower than anything else you might find in the world of native apps, they’re extremely flexible. Find any machine with a modern browser and you can start editing video.

At the same time, you’re going to want to also look for some good writing software. Once again, you might already have a decent text editor installed on your computer. Considering that even mobile device web browsers are capable of correcting your spelling, there’s a good chance that you could simply use the text box of whatever social media site you’re on to compose detailed prose.

If you go this route, then always remember to save a local copy of whatever it is that you’re writing. That will help prevent you from losing it due to network problems later on.

Always keep an eye out for alternative ways to use technology. Each time you do so, you’ll be able to cut costs just a little more and therefore increase the ROI of any social marketing campaign that you elect to run.

5 Videogames To Get Excited About in 2020

There are big things happening for gamers this year – Sony and Microsoft are set to launch the next-gen of consoles. The PS5 and Xbox Series X are set for late 2020 releases. In the meantime, however, we have plenty of game releases to look forward as the current generation of consoles comes to a close. With rumours of backwards compatibility across both next-gen devices, let’s look ahead to a few 2020 game releases that take inspiration from the past.

Marvel’s Avengers

It’s easy to forget that when the first Iron Man movie hit screens back in 2008, it was really no big deal. In fact, the character of Tony Stark was so unknown to most people that dozens of screenwriters passed on the project, dismissing Iron Man as too obscure. Cut to today, and the Avengers franchise has gone beyond mere popularity to attain the status of modern mythology, right up there with Star Wars.

Except, not really. These are the Avengers, but not as you know them. Forget the faces of Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and the like, because this videogame is most decidedly NOT part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a new look for all the characters and a whole new storyline of its own. It’s certainly a bold move, bucking the usual trend of movie-to-game spin-offs, where the games are either straight-up adaptations or designed to fit squarely into the cinematic canon. The same is true of slot games inspired by movies. When Playtech released their Avengers slots game, for example, it featured exact likenesses of the Marvel movie stars, while movie-themed slots for the likes of Jurassic World, Robocop, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Anchorman are all similarly emblazoned with celebrity images.

To willingly cast aside the easy win of audience recognition, and forge an entirely new take on characters, is a bold move for the makers of the Avengers videogame. But they’re confident it’ll be a blockbuster hit, and the first chapter in their own “videogame universe” to rival the silver screen.

Cyberpunk 2077

If you had to guess the inspiration behind one of 2020’s most eagerly-anticipated science fiction videogame extravaganzas, an old 1980s tabletop game played with books, pens, pieces of paper and dice would probably not be the first thing that pops into mind. But check out Cyberpunk 2077, a game set in a gritty, neon-drenched future dystopia, featuring none other than Keanu Reeves in a key role.

This stunning, state-of-the-art, super-immersive videogame is based directly on a tabletop RPG from 1988, which was basically a sci-fi version of Dungeons and Dragons. Mike Pondsmith, the creator of that original game, was even brought in to consult on this very different take on his world, giving it some serious geek credibility.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been a long time coming – it was first announced way back in 2012 – and the hype has reached fever pitch ahead of its long-heralded release. The main character is V, an “urban mercenary” who works the mean streets of Night City, a neo-noir world that takes inspiration from Blade Runner, Akira and The Matrix, as well as the trailblazing cyberpunk novel Neuromancer. Imagine a futuristic take on Grand Theft Auto, with a fully customisable protagonist (you can change pretty much everything about V to suit your tastes), plus Keanu Reeves. No wonder there’s so much excitement.

Doom Eternal

When the first Doom was released back in the early 90s, it was a literal game changer, cementing the popularity of the “first person shooter” genre and generating countless imitators that were literally dubbed Doom clones. Fast forward to 2016, and this landmark game was given a shiny new reboot which utilised all the perks of new gaming tech to focus on “badass demons, big effing guns and moving really, really fast”, in the words of its executive producer

Now, in 2020, that reboot is getting its first sequel: Doom Eternal. And this time, the unnamed Doom Marine (technically called the Doom Slayer, but known to generations of gamers simply as “Doomguy”) is battling the forces of Hell here on Earth. As ever with Doom, the emphasis here will be on all-out action. Think maximum speed and maximum blood-letting, with many gruesome new creatures to slaughter. If you fancy taking a break from the mere cerebral games and let out some inner tension with virtual ultra-violence, this is the 2020 game for you.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

And the winner of the award for the least imaginatively named game of the year goes to Final Fantasy VII Remake. It does exactly what it says on the tin (or box), being a remake of one of the most cherished games in history. The Final Fantasy franchise may have more instalments than you can shake a controller at, but the seventh edition has a special place in gamers’ hearts.

So it’s unsurprising that everyone is in a bit of a tizzy about the chance to once again join funky-haired mercenary Cloud Strife and his band of eco-warriors as they take on a corrupt, planet-killing megacorporation (a storyline that will have special new relevance in our Extinction Rebellion-flavoured times).

This is an epic-scale remake – so large that the 2020 game is just the first chapter of the whole saga. One point of contention for some traditional Final Fantasy fans was the lack of turn-based, RPG-style fighting – a hallmark of the older games in the franchise, which has since been replaced by real-time combat. But, if you’re eager to relive the old days, have no fear. Final Fantasy VII Remake has a “classic” mode, which brings back the turn-based approach, where it’s all about strategy rather than literally doing the fighting yourself. Get ready to play like it’s 1997.

Predator: Hunting Grounds

A major movie tie-in game of 2020 is Predator: Hunting Grounds, which looks like it’ll do a pitch-perfect job of replicating the feel of the original 80s Schwarzenegger classic. The aesthetics are on point: think steamy jungles where muscle-bound mercs stalk around with very large guns, getting picked off by a roaring, dreadlocked alien hunter.

You can either choose to play one of the humans or become a Predator yourself. There are actually a number of Predator sub-types to choose from, including a big, beefy Berserker and a more nimble Scout. And, as is the trend with most movie/game adaptations, this videogame’s story is part of the official canon.

In this sense, it’s more akin to the recent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (which is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope) than the upcoming Avengers videogame, which is completely detached from the movie franchise.

TaleWorlds Entertainment has announced that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, will be released in Early Access on March 31, 2020. The anticipated sequel to Mount & Blade: Warband will be available for purchase through Steam, Epic Games Store, and TaleWorlds website. It will have an RRP of $49.99/€49.99/£39.99.

This isn’t the first time TaleWorlds has used Early Access as a means of testing games and bringing players on-board ahead of an official launch. This was their approach with the original Mount & Blade, and that worked incredibly well. Players don’t have long to wait until they can finally get their hands on a version of this anticipated sequel. TaleWolds has also promised more info on what to expect from Early Access closer to its release, so keep your eyes peeled.

In case you missed it, here is some gameplay footage from the game, released earlier this year:
