Praise the Sun Rise, Tarnished, as an official announcement in regards to Elden Ring DLC has been made, and it’s called ‘Shadow of the Erdtree.’ Posted on the official Elden Ring Twitter account, the tweet reads, “Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together. Although no release date or information regarding what to expect from the Elden Ring DLC has been revealed, getting that official announcement will make many fans around the globe rather excited, including us. Elden Ring was a masterpiece, and became the most popular FromSoftware game of all time.

Almost everyone at God is a Geek had something positive to say about Elden Ring at the end of the year (well, all except Lyle, tut tut). Adam said, “It’s a beautiful, rich world that feels like a culmination of all of the Souls-like games FromSoft has developed over the years.” It topped both Chris’ and Mick’s GOTY lists, with all three having some strong words to say about it. “This is a From world, through and through, a kind of meta-Lordran that tells a far stronger story through the use of stunning visual design and environmental storytelling that compliments the reams of flavour text,” said Mick. Mr Hyde followed suit with, “I loved Elden Ring from the moment I first stepped out into Limgrave, and close to 100 hours later, I’m still in love.” Finally, Chris White wrote, “Every new boss presented a different challenge. Every new path opened up hours of exploration. The sense of adventure Elden Ring presented was unlike anything I had ever played before.”

For fans of the surprise hit Vampire Survivors, it’ll be getting its first piece of DLC on December 15, called ‘Legacy of the Moonspell,’ and will cost $1.99. It’ll be coming to PC via Steam and Xbox, featuring tons of new content, including eight new characters, over a dozen new weapons, six music tracks, and one new stage.

The heroes of Vampire Survivors will visit “an alternate dimension of endless night” in their search to find an actual vampire. In eastern lands, a clan has fallen. The Moonspell, once vigilant guardians of a sorcerous valley nestled in the mountains, have been overrun by hordes of yokai and oni. Though treacherous, this hive of spectral activity may provide some clue as to the location of a vampire. If not, at least it’ll be entertaining to defeat thousands of wayward spirits in the process. 

The list of content coming to Vampire Survivors in its first DLC, Legacy of the Moonspell, is as follows:

Eight new characters! Including:

• Miang Moonspell – The last disciple of the Moonspell Clan before its downfall, and possibly its finest. Self-consciously a shounen protagonist.
• Menya Moonspell – One of the few surviving Moonspell elders, Menya’s mystical powers are near god-like.
• Syuuto Moonspell – Banished practitioner of the new moon dark magic, Syuuto is nonetheless an enemy of evil. Poor personal hygiene may contribute to his continued exile.
• Babi-Onna – Returned from the dead to seek vengeance on demons and mortals alike, she nonetheless retains her impeccable ability to charm, amuse, and dazzle.

A brand new stage

• Mt.Moonspell – Our biggest stage yet, a sprawling map featuring several different environments, all with their own challenges and resident monsters!
• This one stage includes an abandoned castle, snow covered mountain, and a yokai infested village, and more besides.

13 new weapons, including:

• Silver Wind – An ancestral force unleashed by the staff of the Moonspell Clan, only those born under the moon can fully wield its power (or whoever finds it in a chest, we’re not sure).
• Four Seasons – A set of orbs which unleash the power of the changing seasons, of death and rebirth.
• Summon Night – A weapon which drips with the darkness of the new moon. Despite the clan’s superstitions, even the shadows can oppose evil.
• Mirage Robe – An enchanted kimono, weaved on a loom from the silk of the earth spider, and imbued with a fragment of Babi-Onna’s vengeful spirit. Besides, it looks fabulous darling.

Coin Crew Games, the developers of the wonderful puzzle game Escape Academy has announced their intended plans for future DLC for the game as well as a free update. In a Tweet, the developers laid out their intentions for two additional DLCs.

The first DLC called “Escape from Anti-Escape Island” is planned to launch in Fall 2022 and will include 5 brand-new escape rooms. The second Escape Academy DLC will be called “Escape from the Past” and is expected in Spring 2023. Escape from the Past will also feature 5 brand-new escape rooms.

What’s more, the developers have teased a free major update to the game, that is penciled in for early 2023. Nothing is known about this update as yet, but it’s great to see the developers providing free enhancements for the community.

Escape Academy is a fun, pretty unique experience that is well executed. The rooms and puzzles are varied, and the learning curve is done well. It’s oddly addictive, especially in co-op, and although it still suffers from the occasional obscure solution, for the most part, everything is well put together and enjoyable. So much so, that you’ll wish there were a few more rooms to try once it’s over. For puzzle and escape room fans, Escape Academy is definitely one to try.

At a time when people are desperate for things to play, the new CrossCode DLC is just what the doctor ordered. A New Home is coming in just over a week to PC (and in the summer for console players) and will add up to 10 hours of gameplay and a host of new challenges to overcome.

At the game awards we were told that the Final Fantasy 7 baddie himself was coming to Smash, but ahead of the official December 23rd release Sephiroth can now be unlocked in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

“Sephiroth, the iconic villain from the FINAL FANTASY VII series, is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable fighter on 23rd December. Sephiroth is part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 DLC, which also includes DLC fighters Min-Min from ARMS and Steve & Alex from Minecraft, along with three yet-to-be-announced fighters. Sephiroth joins Cloud as the second character from FINAL FANTASY VII available as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In a livestreamed video presentation, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai revealed more info about the new fighter.

Limited-time event: Sephiroth Challenge: Mr Sakurai revealed the Sephiroth Challenge, a special limited-time event where players can battle against Sephiroth as a boss between now and until December 23rd, 02:00 CET. Players who own either the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 or Challenger Pack 8: Sephiroth, and can beat the challenge, will be able to unlock Sephiroth and his new stage Northern Cave before 23rd December.

New stage, music and more: Challenger Pack 8: Sephiroth also includes the Northern Cave stage, a Classic Mode route, and nine music tracks from the FINAL FANTASY series.

Mii Fighter costumes: On 23rd December, costumes for the in-game Mii Fighters inspired by the FINAL FANTASY series are being released, including outfits based on classic characters Aerith, Tifa and Barret, as well as a Chocobo hat and an outfit inspired by Geno from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars”

The idea that Cloud and Sephiroth are both in Smash is still hard to believe, but I’m so glad to see them both there. Super Smash Bros Ultimate continues to get new characters, and become one of the greatest fighting game packages in history.

The fourth instalment of the Borderlands 3 campaign is out now. Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck brings with it a brand new campaign add-on and increases the level cap.

The synopsis is that scientist Patricia Tannis has created some absurdly advanced technology, and the entirety of the campaign takes place in the messed up consciousness of Psycho Krieg. Tannis has become convinced that this is the key to the mythical “Vaulthalla” and sends you into Krieg’s mindscape to find the answers.

Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck is the fourth campaign add-on included in the Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition and Season Pass. It is also available to purchase separately, although players will need to own a copy of the base game in order to play the add-on content. To access the DLC, players will need to look for a psycho mask in Tannis’ lab aboard Sanctuary II.

The campaign features:

• Journey through the many demented vistas of Krieg’s psyche, where anything is possible and likely very violent;
• Experience the world as Krieg sees it, including his perception of fan-favorite characters like Maya, the light of his twisted life;
• Overcome a vast array of life-threatening manifestations that Krieg’s mind conjures up;
• Expand Krieg’s mind and Tannis’ research in surreal side missions and Crew Challenges;
• Score powerful Legendary weapons and gear that – according to Tannis – will work outside of Krieg’s consciousness;
• Acquire brain-busting cosmetic items, including Vault Hunter Heads and Skins.

Along with the launch of the DLC, Borderlands 3 is also getting a free patch that will increase the level cap for all players. Vault Hunters can now unlock five additional levels and skill points on their way to the maximum level cap of 65. This marks the last planned level cap increase for the foreseeable future.

Techland’s open-world adventure game Dying Light is getting some DLC this Summer titled Hellraid. Hellraid is based on Techland’s first person dark fantasy slasher which is currently on hold.

The gameplay that was released today shows the character descending to Hell. It also shows where players will be able to find all new weapons and slay enemies.

The Hellraid DLC adds a new game mode with a progression system. You can also play it solo or in co-op.

The DLC will release on July 23 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and will set you back $9.99. For those of you that put down a pre-order on Steam, you’ll get access to the beta weekend. You best be quick as the beta weekend lasts from June 26-June 29.

Players of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night have a few things to look forward to over the coming year. ArtPlay and 505 Games have revealed a sneak peak at the free DLC development roadmap.

A couple of things that have been revealed so far are the Boss Revenge Mode and the Chroma Wheel.

Boss Revenge Mode

Thanks to the Kickstarter community helping to get to the funding goal, Boss Revenge Mode will be arriving on June 23. In this mode, which is accessed through the transition room in-game, players will go against four in-game bosses in an attempt to get the best clear time.

Chroma Wheel

The introduction of the Chroma Wheel brings more options than ever to the colour palette for character customisation. These customisations also include further options for hair, clothing and skin. All it takes is a visit to the demonic hair stylist Todd the Barber to switch up your style.

Both Boss Revenge Mode and the Chroma Wheel will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox one from June 23. For those on Switch you’ll need to wait a little longer as it won’t be available until sometime in July this year.

Finally, a message from creator Koji Igarashi has been uploaded to the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night YouTube page. The message thanks fans and shows a tease of what’s in store for the future.

I think everyone has played a Sims game or two by now. Despite my experience with the series, I’m always surprised by the varied and outlandish expansions the series continue to release. This trend looks to continue for a long time, as The Sims 4 Eco Life is out now on PC and Consoles. The focus here is (as you may expect) green living, with recycling and sustainability taking centre stage.

505 Games and Typhoon Studios has announced the Journey to the Savage Planet Hot Garbage expansion will be released soon. Hot Garbage will cost £7.99 and release for Xbox One and PC, on Epic Games Store, on April 15. Not only that but Journey to the Savage Planet will be available on Xbox Game Pass from April 9. There’s no date for the expansion for PS4 other than soon, so a bit of a wait for now.

The new expansion will see you off to a new alien planet, deisignated DL-C1. The whole point of you being there is to investigate reports of strange spikes in pollutants at Kindred Aerospace’s new interstellar waterfront resort. After doing some digging you’ll need to report your findings back to corporate headquarters. Reporting back using the Kindred scanner will unlock new upgrades to gear and abilities. These abilities include lead boots for underwater exploration, a specialised suit for toxic areas, unlimited stamina and something like the power of flight.

Also included is the new trash talking piece of Vyper Corp property, Kronus. Kronus has one purpose which is to berate players left, right and centre. Something to look forward to. You’ll also see new flora and fauna, including a goofy variation of the Puffer. There’s also a fleet of Vyper Corp. cleaning and flying security bots.

Once you’re done with all that the Javelin habitat will have some new commercials for you to enjoy.

If you’ve been looking for a new Code Vein challenge then you’re in luck, today sees the release of Code Vein DLC 3.

Code Vein DLC 3 is the latest piece of additional content that sees the Horror of the Great Collapse, The Lord of Thunder, take centre stage. You will now be able to make your way through the Eternal Abyss, a new part of The Depths. As expected you’ll come face to face with the aforementioned Lord of Thunder. Just as expected, you can expect a lot of lightning based attacks to avoid. Once you’ve defeated the Lord of Thunder you will be able to obtain lightning-type weapons.

If that was enough you’ll be able to unlock new customisation items as well as new blood codes. There’s also a trailer showing off a lot more that you can find just after this.

Each DLC can be purchased separately or can be accessed through the season pass.

Now, onto the latest expansion. In Off The Grid you get to explore three new regions each with their own unique characteristics. To help Two Point County stay beautiful and sustainable you can research 35 brand new illnesses (9 visual). These include illnesses like Green Fingers and Root Snoot, while also experiencing new treatment rooms. Gardening is also on the agenda as you’ll need it to treat some of the region’s new afflictions.

When you move onto Windstock City, the County’s first eco-city, you’ll need to build green energy machines to stay running and self-sufficient. Generated power can be used to open hospital rooms, allocated to Patient Flow and Staff Application systems and to influence transport in and out of the city.

A new 3 part campaign has landed as part of the Zombie Army 4 DLC called Hell Cult. The first mission of the campaign, Terror Lab, is available today on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

In Terror Lab you will need to infiltrate a lab, fight through hordes of zombies and uncover why the dead keep coming back to life.

As well as the new campaign there’s a few other things available as part of the Zombie Army 4 DLC. Also available today is the American Sea Captain Character, PPSH Submachine Gun Bundle, M1 Semi-auto Carbine Bundle, Molten Lava Weapon Skins and the Classic Boris Outfit. The Undead Wood Horde Mission is also available today, free to everyone.

Not content with that being the only announcements, Rebellion have also released a 2020 Roadmap. Read on to see what will be part of Season 1 as well as a DLC 1 trailer.

The Zombie Army 4 DLC Season 1 items will be part of the Season 1 pass. If you bought the Deluxe Edition you’ll already have access to the Season 1 Pass. All DLC content will also be available to purchase individually if you haven’t picked up the season pass.

Team17 and Ghost Town Games have revealed a new free update to Overcooked 2, introducing its Spring Festival. This new update is in time for the Chinese New Year and is out now on PC and consoles. Players will gain access to two new playable characters – a turtle and a rat – as well as five new themed levels. In keeping with the Chinese theme, Dim sum, hot pot and fruit platters will also be making their way back onto the menu.

Square Enix announced that the DLC for Kingdom Hearts III, Re Mind, is available today on PS4. Xbox players will need to wait a little longer though as the DLC won’t be available until February 25.

For those that have access, and for those still waiting, Re Mind takes Sora on a new episode as he experiences through his friends experiences. Along the way some truths will also be uncovered.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take on multiple powerful bosses. This includes 13 boss battles in the Limitcut episode and a boss battle in the Secret episode. Nintendo has announced some new multiplayer DLC is coming to Luigi’s Mansion 3 as part of the Multiplayer Pack. The pack will be split into two and can be pre-ordered from today for £8.99 from the eShop. The official blurb below details what you can expect from each pack:

The Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer Pack Part 1 will arrive by 30^th April, 2020. The DLC includes three new mini-games for the multiplayer ScreamPark mode. It also introduces three new outfits for Luigi with matching floor themes and new themed ghosts in the cooperative ScareScraper mode. And as a special bonus for those who purchase the DLC, players will receive an in-game Polterpup light called the Flashlight Type-P. Players can use this during Story Mode or ScareScraper.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer Pack Part 2 will launch by 31^st July, 2020 with additional content and features for both ScreamPark and ScareScraper modes. There will be three more new mini-games for ScreamPark mode, as well as three new ScareScraper outfits with matching floor themes and themed ghosts.

Announced last month, the first campaign DLC for Borderlands 3, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, is coming in less than a fortnight. That’s probably why 2K Games and Gearbox Software have released this new trailer, showing off the opening minutes of gameplay:

Moxxi wants you to seize control of Handsome Jack’s derelict gambling station, which just so happens to be crawling with looters and Hyperion Loader Bots. None of which will be pleased to see you.

Tuned for level 13 characters at the very minimum, with the difficulty scaling-up for anyone above the entry requirement, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot will provide players with a whole new destination to visit. Obviously, this means that you must have beaten Borderlands 3’s prologue and unlocked Sanctuary III, in order to get to this new place.

In the DLC, you can expect to find all this lot:

There’s new DLC on the way for Fire Pro Wrestling World focussing on entrances called Entrance Craft.

There’s a fair few things available in the Entrance Craft DLC like customising your wrestlers very own outfit, pre-match taunts, venue lighting and effects to name a few things.

If belts are more your thing, these can be customised for your wrestlers to wear into the ring.

You can now also create, assign and share custom promotions and stable logos.

And finally, there are three new venues for to wrestle your way through. You can now use the USA Grand Dome, Sakae Transport Outdoor Ring and the Takafumi City Gym.

The Entrance Craft DLC is available now on Steam and will release on PS4 on November 6.

Avalanche Studios and id Software have today announced that Rage 2‘s first expansion will be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this month on 26 September.

Rise of the Ghosts will give players a brand-new story in a new region littered with the cannibalistic, Feltrite-infused Ghosts. Players will also get a new Void ability as well as a Feltrite Laser Launcher that will melt enemies!

Those players that own the Deluxe Edition will automatically gain access to Rise of the Ghosts when it launches. For those that don’t own the Deluxe Edition, the expansion will be available for purchase from the in-game store for 1500 RAGE Coins or £11.98.

Nintendo have announced that there will be a video presentation for the upcoming Smash DLC character tomorrow. That’s right, Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC info is incoming.

Capcom have announce a release date for the upcoming Monster Hunter: World expansion titled Iceborne. PS4 and Xbox One owners will be able to traverse the new icy region of Hoarfrost Reach on September 06, 2019, with a release making its way to PC sometime during the Winter.

Iceborne picks up where the Moster Hunter: World main game finished off which aims to expand on the story as well provide new content and more quests than was found in the original game.

There’s also the addition of a new difficulty called Master Rank making existing monsters even more of a challenge.

In an attempt to prepare you for the challenges you’ll face in Iceborne new gameplay options have been added to players combat repertoire meaning you have the chance to test out new strategies. On top of that you can now use the Slinger while having your main weapon drawn, regardless of the weapon type. New features have also been added to the Slinger, for example the Clutch Claw which can be used to grapple onto monsters with more direct control. Each of the 14 weapon types will also have new combos and elements added to them.

It goes without saying that to play the Iceborne expansion you will need a copy of the base game and even though the new gameplay options and weapon updates will be available from the off you will have need to have finished the main story through Hunter Rank 16 to be able to access the Iceborne story and quests.

If you decide to put down a pre-order, whether that be digitally or physical, there is a special Yukomo Series layered armour set waiting for you. If you already own the base game the digital DLC will set you back $39.99 / €39.99. A Digital Deluxe edition which comes with the expansion and a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Deluxe Kit DLC full of cosmetic items will cost you $49.99 / €49.99. If you don’t have the base game then the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition might be for you which comes with the base game and the Iceborne DLC, at retail and digitally, and will set you back $59.99 / €59.99.

If you’ve still to try Monster Hunter: World a free trial is available on PS4 from now running intil May 20.

And finally, for Monster Hunter: World console players the last content update for the base game will see the Arch-Tempered form of the Nergigante appear for a limited time from May 11. If you managed to defeat this form you should get the Nergigante γ (gamma) armour! There’s also a dymanic theme showing off the monster complete with custom ravaged system icons with the main game’s theme, “Stars at Our Backs”, playing as background music available digitally on PS4 for $2.99 / €2.99.

Ubisoft has launched the first expansion for Trials Rising.

Trials Rising Sixty-Six allows players to ride along the most legendary route in the United States – Route 66, which provides a perfect backdrop for riding across the Grand Canyon and through the Windy City.

In order to access the expansion players will need to complete League 3 in the base game, and by doing so they will have access to twenty-four new tracks with two new Stadium Finals and Skill Games. Also included are new contracts, new hidden squirrel collectables and a new American Football Outfit which features a helmet, jersey, pants and cleats.

Sixty-Six is available standalone or as part of the Expansion Pass and is available from today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

In addition to Sixty-Six, Private Multiplayer mode is now available at no additional cost to all Trials Rising players.

According to Gematsu Bandai Namco have finally announced a release date for Tekken 7’s Julia and Negan (of AMC The Walking Dead fame) at Japan EVO 2019.

Both characters will be released on February 28th and will set you back $4.99 for Julia while Negan comes in at $7.99.

Some new details have emerged via Twitter regarding the DLC for Celeste, one of our favourite games of last year.

Back in November, Matt Thorsonon, co-creator of Celeste, announced that it would be recieving some DLC. Today, he tweeted some tasty information about what to expect.

Ubisoft has today announced that the second episode of Legacy of the First Blade story DLC for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will launch later this month.

Titled Shadow Heritage, it will continue the story arc from the first episode. Players will investigate a blockade initiated by the Order of the Ancients around the port city of Achaia. To play the episode you will need to have completed the first episode – Hunted and have also completed the Naxos quest line in Chapter 7 of the main story and be at least character level 28.

As well as the story DLC the update will also include the fourth and fifth episodes of the free content “The Lost Tales of Greece”  named The Daughters of Lalaia and A Poet’s Legacy, both of which have level requirements of 13 and 34 respectively. In addition there are new items to purchase that include a new gear set, mount and a legendary dagger. There is also a new legendary Cyclops known as the Bright One who wields a legendary weapon called the Hammer of Hephaistos. He has a recommended character level of 50.

The update will also include some new features, in particular the much requested Level Scaling setting which will allow players to customise how the enemies scale to their level. There are also two new tiers being added to the Mercenary ladder and a new vendor who can be found in the Myson Cave in the Malis region.

The updates and the new story DLC is due for release on 15 January, in the meantime you can watch the developer update below:

Ubisoft has today revealed further details of the Legacy of the First Blade DLC for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The DLC will be split into three episodes, and the first, Hunted, will be available across all platforms on December 4, 2018. The three episodes will see players encounter the legendary Darius, who was the first to wield the Assassin’s Hidden Blade. Following Hunted, two further episodes, called Shadow Heritage and Bloodline, will round off the story, and they will be releasing sometime in early 2019.

As well as the Legacy of the First Blade DLC, Ubisoft will also be releasing a second lot of content in a similar episodic manner later in 2019, called The Fate of Atlantis. Both of these DLCs can be purchased separately or come as part of the game’s Season Pass. Also included in the Season Pass is remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Liberation, coming in March 2019.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now worldwide on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game is also available on Nintendo Switch in Japan.

Frontier Developments has announced that its excellent dinosaur park building game, Jurassic World Evolution, is getting new DLC this month. Secrets of Dr. Wu focuses on the not-entirely-trustworthy creator of most of Jurassic Park and World’s prehistoric wonders.

Jurassic World Evolution:Secrets of Dr. Wu unlocks new campaign missions, putting players in control of two hidden research facilities on Isla Muerta and Isla Tacaño where Dr. Henry Wu, voiced by BD Wong, is developing a new generation of hybrid dinosaurs. Players will confront an elevated level of chaos and threat caused by Wu’s machinations as they work alongside the doctor and discover new dig sites, facility upgrades and research opportunities.

Jurassic World: Secrets of Dr. Wu will also introduce some new species not seen in the base game, such as the Olorotitan and the venomous Troodon, plus the three new Wu-created hybrids seen in the trailer above: the Stegoceratops, Ankylodocus and the Spinoraptor. Progression in the DLC will also carry over to the main game, including the new camouflage gene used by the Indominus Rex in the 2015 blockbuster Jurassic World.

To access the DLC, players will first need to have earned a four-star rating on Isla Muerta in the base game. Alongside this new paid content, that same day will also see a free update that will add an optional day/night cycle, new dinosaur behaviours, new feeders and more contracts to extend the life of the game.

If you own the Season Pass, you can now play as Patrick Conaghan who is an ex rodeo rider. He has a Wrath of Quetzalcoatl amulet attack and can be bought separately for £5.59 on all platforms. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has today announced the release of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp character and level pack DLC for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.

The DLC pack features a new level that takes Ant-Man and the Wasp to Hank Pym’s forgotten research lab where Egghead is. You must battle Egghead’s goons and a giant chicken mech. New characters, Ant-Man, Wasp, Egghead, Crossfire, Stinger, The Human Fly, Giant Man and Ghost have been added to the main roster of over 200 Super Heroes and Villains.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp character and level pack can be purchased separately or as part of the Season Pass that includes six level packs and four character packs.

The pack is available at £2.49 on PlayStation 4 and Steam and at £2.39 on Xbox One.

Ubisoft has today announced its first post-launch adventure – Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness.

This first DLC will transport players back in time as they play Wendell “Red” Redler who must find and rescue his fellow squad members from hostile forces during the Vietnam War.

You can play in solo or online co-op and will feature new gear and abilities as well as two different playable models that will be unlocked after completing Hours of Darkness: Survivor Mode.

In addition to the DLC, players will also have access to the new Vietnam themed assets in Far Cry Arcade which were released on the Vietnam title update on 24 May.

Hours of Darkness can be purchased as a standalone DLC or as part of the Far Cry 5 Season Pass and Gold Edition. It will release on 5 June across all platforms.

Digital Extremes has announced that the Beasts of Sanctuary update will be coming to PC this week.

The update includes a new survival mode as well as the 35th Warframe – Khora and her deadly Kavat. Khora is a mixture of offensive and defensive power with a unique arsenal of attacks, wielding a snake-like metallic whip and a Kavat that quickly engulfs enemies in a whirlwind of pain. The new Sanctuary Onslaught mode, where Khora can be found, enables solo players, or a squad of up to four, to quickly dash through timed portals fighting waves of increasingly powerful enemies.

Beasts of Sanctuary will be arriving on Xbox One and PlayStation in May, while PC players will be able to play later this week.

Vertigo Gaming’s restaurant management sim Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! is getting free DLC this June. The Barista Update centres around various coffees and cafe-inspired treats, as you may have guessed from the title.

To add to the cafe food and drink, The Barista Update will add new modes and restaurants, featuring new levels. PAX East 2018 attendees will be able to sample a taste of the expansion in Boston, where the game will feature as part of the Indie MEGABOOTH.

Paradox Interactive has released a new Content Creator Pack for Cities: Skylines on Xbox One, available right now. Not to leave PS4 players out, the DLC pack will arrive on Sony’s console next week, from March 13th.

The Content Creator Pack adds new buildings and neighbourhood styles, inspired by Art Deco and technological movements, all created by two community modelers from the game’s fanbase: Matt “Shroomblaze” Crux and Mauro “GCVos” Vos.

The Cities: Skylines Content Creator Pack is available now on Xbox One, coming March 13th on Playstation 4. Available as part of the season pass or as a separate one-off purchase.

I think it’s fair to say that people like Assassin’s Creed Origins, and Ubisoft hasn’t skimped on the post-release content either. The first paid DLC, The Hidden Ones, was well received and the amount of quality free content has given people a reason to keep exploring Egypt. As for the second (and final) DLC expansion, well that’s just the start of March’s planned content.

On March 13th comes Curse of the Pharaohs. Set four years after the main story, Bayek will discover the ancient capital city of Thebes, with its temples of Karnak and Luxor. He’ll be exploring secret tombs in the Valley of Kings and “what lies beyond”. Mysterious, eh?

There will also be new gear and outfits, as well as a new mount. The level cap will be increased to 55 too, so don’t expect it to be easy going. Ubisoft has you covered though; if you’re not far into the game and want to jump straight into the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC, you can still enter this new story with your current version of Bayek, but new players can create a new save with a level 45 character, complete with pre-selected gear.

In addition to all that, the delayed February title update will now hit on March 6th. This will contain a new introductory quest, “Lights Among the Dunes” to celebrate the upcoming release of Curse of the Pharaohs; you’ll also be treated to a new hard mode for Trials of the Gods, which will reward you with a new Anubis item set if you manage to come out on top.

Between March 6th and April 3rd, two gods will be “unleashed” per week; one on normal and one on hard, starting with Anubis and Sekhmet.

New store content will be coming too, in the shape of the Undead Pack on March 6th and the Far Cry Primal Pack on March 20th, alongside the Hunter’s Fur outfit as an Ubisoft Club reward. Click through here for full details.

2K and Firaxis Games have today announced the release of XCOM 2 Collection, available on PC, macOS and Linux.

XCOM 2 Collection includes the four DLC packs: Resistance Warrior, Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters and Shen’s Last Gift. Also included is the 2017 expansion XCOM 2: War of the Chosen.

To celebrate the release, XCOM 2 Collection is currently available on Steam for 50% off until 3 February.

Bethesda has announced that its second story DLC for the excellent Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is out now on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Available as part of the Deluxe Edition or via the £17.99 The Freedom Chronicles Season Pass, The Diaries of Agent Silent Death sees you play as the titular agent, real name Jessica Valiant. Former OSS agent and assassin, Jessica is hot on the trail of a sinister plot (very mysterious) in the offices of Paragon Pictures in Tinseltown; once a film studio, it’s now a propaganda machine for the Nazis. Speaking of which, there’s never a shortage of Nazis to kill and Agent Silent Death excels at that job. Well, assuming you’re not rubbish at the game, anyway.

Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition contents are now available, alongside the remaining DLC – Not a Hero and End of Zoe.

This definitive edition of the acclaimed survival horror title includes all the contents from the release earlier this year as well as all three pieces of downloadable content.

Not a Hero is available as a free download for owners of any version of Resident Evil 7 biohazard.

The End of Zoe DLC sees players take on the role of a new mysterious woodsman who faces off against new enemies and explores new swamp filled areas. End of Zoe is included in the Gold Edition or available for download if you are a Season Pass holder. Owners of the original release will be able to purchase the content for £11.99 / €14.99 / $14.99.

The free Not a Hero update sees the return of Resident Evil fan favourite, Chris Redfield. Taking place after the horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Not a Hero brings a brand new experience playing as Chris on the hunt to find Lucas Baker and face new threats not met in the main game. As a member of Umbrella, Chris and team quickly set up a strategy to counter this latest threat.

Today is the day for the first expansion of Destiny 2 called Curse of Osiris.

The DLC features new Strikes, new Crucible Arenas and powerful new weapons and armour all on Mercury, along with the brand new raid – Eater of Worlds.

Bungie has scheduled maintenance today with the new DLC going live around 1 p.m. ET.

The third expansion pack for Battlefield 1 titled Turning Tides will be released starting on 11 December.

Turning Tides will be released in two waves for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass holders. Players will be able to fight across a duo of epic maps, including Cape Helles and Achi Baba. In a new Operation set on these maps, players can take part in the 1915 British amphibious assault of the Gallipoli peninsula. There will be a new Infiltrator Elite Class, six weapons and two melee weapons added to your arsenal, and you’ll get to rule the waves with the L-Class Destroyer. The second wave, coming January 2018, puts players in the North Sea to tackle two other unique maps: Zeebrugge and Heligoland Blight, with the chance to charge into battle with the new Royal Marines and spawn on the C-Class Airship.

Warner Brothers have released details on what Middle-Earth: Shadow of War’s expansion pass will feature.

The pass contains a total of four expansions, two Orc Tribe expansions and two story expansions.

The Orc expansions add yet more depth to the infamous system by introducing new tribes into Mordor which in turn lead to new missions, tribal showdowns, battles, new gear, upgrades and Epic and Legendary Orcs to kill or conquer.

The first expansion, available in November, contains the blood thirsty Slaughter Tribe, who can ambush you at any point.

The second, available in December, introduces the Outlaws Tribe, the most rebellious of Orcs who are even shunted by their fellow Orcs.

The first story expansion is called The Blade of Galadriel. You play as assassin Eltariel as she wields duel elven blades and takes on the Nazgûl.

In the final expansion, The Desolation of Mordor you play as Baranor. He’s the Captain of Minas Ithil and survivor of the city’s demise, as you command your human army against a new Orc threat to the East. With Barnaor being human and without Wraith powers, surviving in Mordor is a whole lot harder and there’s a new desert region too.

The story expansions are set to be available in February 2018 and May 2018, respectively.

The whole pass can be purchased for £32.99 or the Orc Tribe expansions can be purchased for £11.99 and the story expansions for £15.99 individually.

The console versions of Paradox Interactive’s city management game, Cities: Skylines, is getting its first expansion pack on November 14th.

Snowfall, which will be available on PC as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4, is a weather-focused expansion which will allow for your city to get all frosty in time for Christmas and will provide new challenges.

The pack adds rainy and foggy weather for existing maps and a winter map theme. On the winter map you’ll have to keep your citizens cozy, clear the streets with ploughs, keep the roads in good condition amongst a heap of other tasks.

There are also new transport systems available for your city and cold weather increases the demand for electricity, unless systems are in place.

The expansion will be available for $12.99 or as a part of the season pass.

Bethesda has announced the release schedule for the Clockwork City DLC pack for The Elder Scrolls Online.

The DLC will take players through a new zone – Sotha Sil’s legendary Clockwork City – to investigate a new Daedric threat. The DLC is roughly ten hours of brand new content with new creatures and hybrid monsters to battle. Players will also find a new Trial called Asylum Sanctorum.

Players can get a sneak peek at Clockwork City content by embarking on the prologue quest, now live for all players. In this, they’ll investigate prominent diviners, scholars, and planar archaeologists who are being murdered by their own shadows. Players can travel to any local Mages Guild headquarters in Tamriel to find a note on a table titled “Order of the Eye Dispatch.” Reading the note will give the quest “Of Knives and Long Shadows,” and send players on their new adventure.  Once complete, players will receive the “Clockwork Obscuros” memento in their Collection.

The new DLC will release 23 October 2017 for PC/Mac and 7 November 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Clockwork City will be free to all ESO Plus members and available for purchase for 2,000 crowns for everyone else via the in-game Crown Store. The DLC pack is available for everyone and does not require ESO: Morrowind.

Epic Games has announced that as of today Fortnite Battle Royale mode is free to play for all players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.

The mode features a 100-player PvP mode that drops players into a giant map where their building and combat skills will be tested until there is only one left standing.

In addition to the new free mode, squad play has been added as well as two new weapons and a few other tweaks.

The Fortnite Battle Royale mode is available now to download via the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One stores, while PC and Mac players can visit www.fortnite.com

The PvE mode remains in paid for Early Access, with Founder’s Packs still available for purchase. The game is due to go full free-to-play in 2018.
